Our office is proud to offer expert care for infants, children, adolescents, and young adults. We see children from birth until their 18 year old "well visit" and for acute illness visits until they are 19 years old. As teens are getting ready to move to an adult doctor we will help them with the transition to a doctor in the community who is better able to focus on more adult type of care. Western Colorado Pediatric Associates have Spanish speaking doctors available.

A Medical Home
The medical home, also known as the patient-centered medical home (PCMH), is a team-based health care system led by a health care provider that is intended to provide comprehensive and continuous medical care to patients with the goal of obtaining maximized health outcomes. It is an approach to providing comprehensive primary care for children, youth and adults and is intended to allow better access to health care, increase satisfaction with care, and improve health. Care coordination is essential and requires additional resources such as health information technology and appropriately-trained staff to provide coordinated care through team-based models.
Integrated Behavioral Health services are an important part of the care we offer our young patients. Because we know that emotional/behavioral issues affect a child’s physical health, behavioral health clinicians participate in the medical visit to help address those needs in a team-based approach.
Registered Dietitian Nutritionist
An on staff Registered Dietitian Nutritionist can personally tailor nutritional advice just for your child's circumstances. They can help manage chronic disease such as diabetes and can offer guidance for navigating food allergies, sensitivities and intolerances.
Whether it’s welcoming a new baby, coping with teething or the “terrible two’s,” Healthy Steps provides support for new parents as a free service of Western Colorado Pediatric Associates.
While the visits are typically scheduled with Well-Child check-ups, we also offer home visits, informational materials, access to phone support, and referrals to other community resources.
For more information on this service, contact Cathie Clark, Healthy Steps specialist, at 970-254-2525.
Reach Out & Read (ROAR)
Every young patient between the ages of 6 months and 5 years receives a new age-appropriate book at every Well-Child visit. Parents who read to their children prepare them for success in reading and strengthen the parent-child bond.
